Discovered in the year 1502 by the Spanish Rodrigo de Bastidas, as the island of Calamarí due to the Indigenous s that inhabited it, conquered and founded by Don Pedro de Heredia in the year of 1533, proclaimed independent of the Spanish crown on November 11th of the year of 1810, and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year of 1984. Cartagena de Indias  has countless stories behind the facade of its colonial and republican houses, behind the beauty of its squares and baroque churches that will delight anyone who listens to everything that happened here.
